Stepping into the world

On Dewy Graphics, Miss Dewzle Berry had the exact same title as this blog entry. By having layout requests-one of the most popular thing on all sites I am getting extra business on Herbalfoot Graphics. The only bad thing is, it takes up a lot of time. Layouts are hard to make and I pour my soul into them, trying to make them perfect. It seems that way at least. But the thing that makes it all worth it is all the people that will look at the credits and click on my link.

Why am I talking about layouts? Because I have 3 layout requests and what I keep on thinking of for these layout requests is the credits and the views they will generate. I don't know if that sounds selffish but I want my site to get out there, get the views I feel it deserves. I sometimes feel like asking people how they found Herbalfoot Graphics. Whether it was from a friend or a link, or a suggestion sometimes I want to know for some reason.

The overall reason I'm talking about layouts is all the views I will get from the credits. What I'm basically trying to say is that I'm doing exactly what the title of my blog entry is, stepping into the world of graphics. People are going to find my site with layouts. I won't be that tiny site that people visit for just graphics. I'll be visited for requests and really get out there.

That's just my take on the whole layout thing. Once I get these layouts done I'll slowly get more views. Requests may suck but are they worth the views, nice comments, and popularity? Yes.

For Herbal Essence I have to put that on hold a bit until I get the layouts done. Running two sites is getting hard, especially with my vacation coming up. But I'll make due.

  1. Well, I still hate requests. Whatever the credit/nice comments they get you, I hate them, and I always will >:O They make you do labor for what, a tiny link at the bottom of the layout, and not even a single credit for an image... most of the time? Yeah. Well, that's what it seems like to me. I'm sorry about all the requests... and yes, I did have an update title like thatttt xD

  2. Hey Herb! It's the wonderfully miraculous Lighty! ^^ Hmm... I've never actually gotten a layout request before XD But I see what you mean, you need more ways to get views, and I know that when I used to not be able to make layouts (I still do this) whenever I would see a credit thing on a layout saying this person made my layout, I would (and will) click on the credit because I wanted to request a layout/see the premades, so I think you'll actually get a lot of visitors from that (if it's a somewhat-popular site). And for the thing about "How did you find Herb Graphics?" you could put up a poll on your home page.

  3. Kryptonite-kryptonite-kryptonite-GO SOCKS! :D

Heya lightyness. e-e-e-e-ello :D Bleh I just don't like them. I stress over every little thing and got slammed with three of them. :( I ended up closing requests so I could finish them. I only have one done so far x_x I don't really like the webs polls...they look so like ugly. I dunno. -pushes pencil around in an OCD kinda way-

Dew I don't like requests either. They can go ship themselves to China. :P -scootles off-

  4. Hehehehe, you could always just make a billion premades and tell the layout-requesters "Deal with it!" Or not make layouts at all, have a bunch of tutorials instead or something. The polls do look pretty icky... I think there's websites where you can get a poll code for free, though, and they might look nicer... Hmm, I dunno either.

  5. I know there is one good site that you can make a poll that at least you can choose the background colors of it...I think I'll use that.

xD Premades...they are just as bad...

  7. Ooh, I know what you mean, Lighty! They're so absolutely fun to make but they take absolutely forever, and in some cases, forever and a day xD
